Other means of vibro-acoustic testing
The simplest way to characterise the acoustic insulation of an entity involves measuring the difference between the noise level upstream and the noise level downstream (loss through transmission) when crossed by a sound wave.
dB Vib Ingenierie designs special booths for testing your small samples. The booths consist of a transmission chamber and a receiving chamber. The chambers are separated by an open panel for receiving the sample.
The thick insulation of the booth prevents the noise generated on emission from impacting on the external environment. The panel separating the two chambers needs even thicker insulation so that the noise transmitted from one chamber to the other only passes through the tested sample. Very thick additional parts can be made on a case-by-case basis for receiving the samples.
